A lithium battery is not a lead-acid battery – and that means charging must be done differently. Many people think that a lithium household battery in a camper can be charged by the vehicle’s alternator in the same way as a lead-acid battery. But that’s not the case!
When your engine runs, the alternator normally charges the starter battery. In campers, it is also used to charge the household battery.
